Thank You Creative Recreation!
Thank You Creative Recreation!

Talk about living in a post-hyper-modern times. NYLON not only showed us love via their site, they gave us a lovely shout out of our “Thank You NYLON” video via their twitter. So thank you NYLON. Once again.

A special kind thanks to NYLON magazine for featuring us on the front page of NYLON Guys. We really appreciate it!

Creative Recreation continues to be a brand that grows with you. Kind thanks again to my girl Sara! These ‘Made In Italy’ joints are pure classic. These shoes are made for the grown man.

It’s always great hearing kind words of encouragement when you begin something new. I recently got a nice facebook message (yes Google, FB messages is the new gmail) from my old friend, Mr. Paul Kim:
lovin these pieces. your composition, direction, cinematography, editing, the choices you make are all fantastic. but that doesn’t really surprise me b/c i’ve always liked your pictures.
my favorites are the ones where you captured and conveyed the people’s personalities in such a short time frame. the ones that seemed to focus a little more about character development. esther kim where you use her hand motions with no audio, her drawing, her talking but the shot was on her hands, etc. williams miyazaki, lupe fiasco. you use audio sparingly, yet you get a true sense of who these people are. these ones drew me in and left me wanting more.
the others are great as well as standalone video art pieces. i can’t remember which one it was now, but the one where you shoot the violinist on the street. the violin music moves from source to score, as you cut to the girl walking away from camera and down the street. very nice.
feelin this “project” big time
Thanks again Paul for taking the time to watch and also for your in-depth analysis. It is words like these that keep me going.

The boys and girls of Creative Recreation have been showing me love for a while. I enjoy seeing the brand continually grow. I’m a fan of their Italian Collection so I decided to do a video art tribute.
I enjoy working on my short films and my video art pieces. It’s especially validating when a project I work on gets recognized.
I made this over the weekend.
And today I get a plug from the Oliver Peoples twitter account. I heart the internet.

If there is one brand that has defined my appearances one way or another, it would inevitably be Oliver Peoples. They have tremendously talented people working there such as Patrick and Jasmine. Below is my tribute:
Received this in the mail today. Perfect for my new macbook pro.

Thanks Jarod DeAnda for the connection. And Thank You Incipio! In fact we loved this so much, we decided to do a new “Thank You” series.
