I think Maestro is excellent at what he does. But I also do not entirely agree with you. I would not say “the modern day blog is film” because “no one reads anymore”. I would rather read then watch a video any day. I say this because when I watch a movie I am forced to watch at a constant rate of time – i.e. an hour movie would take me an hour to watch. On the other hand, when I read, I control the speed, and can pick up or slow down the pace at my whim.
I just felt like sharing my thoughts…

I am a huge fan of 13th Witness I think he has honed in on the skill to make moving art. That being said I think that this new media art form will just be added to the many different forms of art that are in the world now. However I don’t think it will replace books and people reading. My 10 year old reads for 30mins every night and most often asks to continue reading once the time expires why because she loves to read books just like she loves to watch movies. At the end of the day like you said people like a good story and story telling in the most important thing about media. As visually stimulating as this is and as amazing as the music selection is there is no story. I feel like these kids are going to need a writer that knows how to tell a good story in their crew to take it to the next level. I really think 13th Witness has the eye and the talent to be an amazing director he just needs a good story to tell.
