Echo Park is one of the last vestiges of a town-like setting in Los Angeles. Echo Park originally found as Edendale used to be the movie capital of Los Angeles. In fact most silent films featuring Charlie Chaplin were filmed in Echo Park lake. Recently an influx of hipsters/hippies into Echo Park has created an economic and cultural shift in the city. Been back in town or a few days and feeling extremely disoriented. My last few days in Williamsburg was nice. It’s really strange getting your head into perspective. The balance of your professional goals and your personal wants, it gets dizzy at times.
