Micheal Jackson's music was always on my mind; the places I go recognize his genius and have his songs in rotation no matter what. Some people are tired of them already. i don't understand those people and I pity them. One thing that always blew my mind about Micheal was the fact that he was from Gary, IN. Not to knock the town, but what else do you know about Gary, IN? To think that he has affected so many people on such a global scale- from world leaders to the terminally ill... To think about his humble beginnings in his small town... It absolutely thrills me to know that no matter where you're from, you can use your gift of creativity to make the seemingly impossible happen. If he could become a legend at such a young age, who knows what the rest of us are capable of? I know my story is nearly identical to everyone's- MJ was my idol when I was just finding out what music was. I grew out of a lot of things, but I will not grow out of Micheal's music and charisma.
