Jesse stopped by today. I haven’t seen Jesse in well over a year. He was at the time Editor-in-Chief of SCION magazine. He’s always someone whom I can share a deep conversation with. We hung out in Los Feliz and had us some coffee and pie. Man LA had some beautiful weather today.
Came home and hung out with Dan and Jim. They were having a small bbq. Oh yeah meet Copper, we found him around the police academy and we’re looking to find out who his owner is. Anyone know? Give us a shout.
We started a fire out in the back and had us a private camp session.
We later watched a few youtube clips inside the EM Studio. It’s times like these where I really cherish the studio. We have our own movie theater with crazy theatre sound! Life is good. Yeah we were a bit “inspired” in the evening. Who knew Obama was a proponent of the smoke?
It’s a lazy Sunday evening and I wanted you all to experience the mood I’m in. Peep this amazing live performance of Charles Mingus’ “Goodbye Pork Pie Hat” – Live at Montreux 1975Charles Mingus [b] Don Pullen [p] George Adams [s] Gerry Mulligen [bs] Benny Bailey [t] Danny Richmond [d]. Enjoy!
Spent the day at the studio today. Sylvia (Editor-in-Chief/Evil Monito) has been busy writing up some ideas for the next issue. We’ve been pleased with the overall feedback from the new issue and the new design, we’re aiming for a lot more site updates soon. Don’t hesitate to leave a comment ya’ll!
The three Emanuel brothers—Ezekiel, Rahm and Ari–have risen to the top of their fields of medicine, politics and entertainment. Ezekiel is Director of the Clinical Bioethics Department at the U.S. National Institutes of Health, Rahm is a Democratic Representative / White House Chief of Staff-designate, and Ari is a Hollywood superagent who is the real life person that the “Ari” character from the HBO show “Entourage” is based off from. The brothers were raised in a strict household where they were encouraged to excel to their very best in abilities. Listen in to this candid conversation the brothers have with Charlie Rose.
In the evening I stopped by Union to catch up with Chris.
Turns out of all people, Taz (TI$A) was there. Strange ’cause we were supposed to get up today on the phone anyhow.
These two were engaged in conversation. Later I headed to the Undftd studio to connect with Eddie who put me on to some new music, some of which you will be able to experience this Friday at the Black Friday event that the block is hosting from 12-7 pm.
Rolled out the DCMA office and kicked it with Neran and Tal. The day was raining and hazy all day. My kind of day.
Next door to DCMA is the Agenda showroom office. Aaron is a busy man, always on the grind. I couldn’t help but admire his new MacBook. Maybe its time I convert soon…ha.
