Tonight I had the pleasure to have dinner at Murano, a nice outpost in West Hollywood that serves Italian. The Chef prepares everything from scratch from the pasta to the sorbet to the chocolate. Dinner was exquisite. And for those who want to save a little, I’d recommend you to take advantage of the $12 Tuesday specials, select items are $12 flat. A bargain considering what you relish in. For the gentlemen out there, treat your ladies to this spot and enjoy yourselves.

Justin stopped by today. It was finally good to meet in person after corresponding via email and the phone for about a year. Justin used to work at Reebok Corporate in Boston. He now is a free agent working on a variety of projects from concert talent management to sport figures. Welcome to Los Angeles Justin! Let’s aim to get up in the months ahead and build.
Levi hit me up via IM and showed me a picture featuring himself and Mycole Jerred in the new upcoming look book for Dirty Milk. Looking dapper kid! Levi and are planning to work on a few things together very soon. He has a great eye behind the camera for film work. Let’s see what happens.
Alright I couldn’t wait. The new issue of 944 is out and I’m happy how it turned out. I had a lot of great collaborators for this issue from Jupiter, Estevan Oriol, Shaniqwa Jarvis, Dana Poblete, Sylvia Adams, Daniel Park, Ethan Holtzman, the list goes on and on. Be sure to cop this issue at the party we’re throwing with The Collective and Hellz at Winstons tomorrow. We’re also releasing the book at a few other unexpected events around town. Here’s a sneak of what’s inside below.
We all give The Sartorialist credit for spotting well dressed individuals. Recently I came across What I Saw Today, and I was blown away at how ingenious this concept was. The illustrator named Richard Haines (a.k.a. Designerman) is a design veteran having worked with Perry Ellis and Calvin Klein. His sketches are poignant and well executed. A source of great inspiration!
My first issue of 944 that I worked on dropped today. We’re gonna be releasing this issue at a few key events in the next few weeks. I’ll post up a few pages from the issue in the next few days.
Later rolled to Little Tokyo for an appointment. As I was there I swung by for a quick second to chat with Peter (Cassette). The creative energy is so good at Peter’s studio, I love being there. Pete’s new winter collection has come in and his boiled cotton pieces are amazing! Thank you for always putting me on to new things and looking at fashion in a different light. This week is gonna be a busy week for all of us, there’s events and galas to attend left and right.
The evening brought it a wonderful array of clouds. That’s my kind of way to end a Monday.
Few speeches can move you in recent memory. This speech from Barack Obama took place the day after his debate with McCain. You can hear the fervor in his voice, this man is on a mission.
